A matching hash confirms that captured bytes have not changed. It does not establish that the publisher’s claims are true or that the page had this content before the capture date.
Limits of this record
The capture log records gaps: some candidate sources were inaccessible or outside the supported research domains, so the evidence set is not exhaustive.
The discovery framing about a newly published GRL estimate of 10–30% faster shriveling is not addressed by any captured primary source. The only capture mentioning it is the VICE article (p1), so the headline figure rests on a single press report and the underlying paper was not captured. This is a topic-source mismatch the checker should flag.
The captured primary literature is dated 2021 and speaks to older contraction estimates, so none of it directly measures or evaluates the faster-shriveling claim. Apparent contradiction reflects different mapping approaches, not a direct dispute over the same new measurement.
No evidence of disagreement does not establish consensus, and no captured source settles which contraction magnitude is correct.
The VICE article (September 2026) and the NASA explainer (October 2024) give BepiColombo arrival as November and 2025 respectively; these are planning statements captured at different times, and neither capture confirms whether arrival occurred.
The PMC search page contained only interface text and was discarded as non-evidence.
No caption, photo credit or licence information was captured for any media candidate, and all supplied candidates are marked excluded.
Some candidate sources were inaccessible or outside the supported research domains; consult the capture log.
